Enjoyable ma and pa place that lived up to all our expectations. Crab cakes, A1...if you plan to eat multiple items, get the smaller cake. The fried and steamed shrimp were both delightful, especially the cocktail sauce! Had the medium oysters with the house made hot sauce. Enjoyed the clam chowder and the crab dip was amazing. Overall an awesome experience!
Delicious food and great experience!!! I ate the 6 piece large raw oysters as on appetizer and the jumbo lump crab platter with fries and Mac n cheese and of course Coors Light draft beer. It was reasonably priced and the gentleman at the raw bar was super friendly and informative. He was the only nice employee there though. He saw that we were clearly newbie’s and came over to explain how their restaurant is set up. He also kept checking in on us! None of the other employees even spoke or were friendly whenever I ordered at the fried food booth. Oh well, still was a great experience today! I didn’t like that you couldn’t sit down anywhere in that whole market place. We had a long walk up hill, so I was ready to sit and eat! I was surprised it wasn’t a restaurant but a seafood market which was a nice surprise for us. I’d definitely go back. I took a lot of pictures and short videos to remember everything.
As usual I've had another great day at Faidley's Seafood.I just love their Maryland Crab Soup as well as their Crab Cakes. At my last trip I just ordered the Backfin Crab Cake which was great. But the best is the All Lump Crab Cake , which I like to order when I have a friend to help me eat it because of the size of course. My favorite seafood place to get a great meal and get on my way to the games in downtown Baltimore.
We walked about 100 miles to get to Faidley's and it was SO worth it! Place was jammed packed, long line for the crab cakes. After trying it, we understood exactly why. Absolutely delicious! Their oyster were also amazing and they were huge. There was a gentlemen walking around cleaning the tables, I wish I got his name but I'm almost certain he was either the owner or someone up there. He was a sweetheart. He saw that we were with our two kids and offered us high chairs for them, chairs he set up for us himself. Loved Faidley's - will be back!
The crab cake platter seems expensive but is really a great deal for what I believe may be the greatest representation of that item on Earth. The sides were also solid, and the raw bar had some mammoth (and tasty) oysters. Even though it was packed everything went very quickly. The exterior of the market may be off-putting to some and the lack of chairs may make dining in difficult for folks who need to sit, but none of that makes a dent in a tremendously good food experience.
